Kambour
Around Kambour village, there were well over 200 children whose parents left them with an older sibling (some as young as 12 years old) or an elderly grandparent while the parents left to look for work in other countries.
TransformAsia began a church which reaches out to feed and provide clean water for these children. Before, many were dying due to contaminated streams and lack of food. Together we provide a meal of rice, a vegetable, and soup with meat or fish.
The children are taught elementary school basics as well as how much Jesus loves them. They love the Bible stories and singing. In June 2010, a Community Center was built, equipped with a full kitchen, a well for clean water with a solar powered pump, and a restroom/shower facility.
Please pray for the staff as they currently feed and teach about 150 children at this site.
